Important Safety Information
Before gaining independent access to CNM2 and in order to operate safely inside the facility all members must :
- Complete the UC Laboratory Safety Fundamentals training and submit a copy of the certificate of completion to CNM2
- Attend the CNM2 Orientation and Chemical Wet Bench Training
- Read and understand the CNM2 Policies and Procedures document
- Pass the CNM2 Policies and Procedures examination
While CNM2 will train members in general chemical safety before allowing the use of chemicals, and in the operation of the equipment required for members' work, members assume primary responsibility for their own personal safety. Members will obtain special permission from CNM2 staff for introduction of any chemicals not commonly available inside the facility. Biohazards are not allowed in CNM2.
