Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Woodall Research Group is solely focused on investigating emerging electronic materials and novel microelectronic devices that have the highest potential impact on society. Some might say our focus is on “transformative” research, but we just like to call it “common-sense” research. We examine what makes sense to do based on current and future needs, yet without ignoring historical perspective. Professor Woodall has a substantial reputation in taking ideas from the lab to industry through several start-up companies he has co-founded over the years. He is particularly interested in mentoring students and junior researchers with this mentality, which has led to group alumni moving on to develop their research into commercial products.
